Work With Us: Social Media Coordinator
We’re looking for a proactive, forward-thinking Social Media Coordinator to keep our channels active, on‑brand and on time.
About the Role
You’ll plan, create, and schedule day‑to‑day posts for Instagram and LinkedIn, share newly launched design projects promptly and with flair, and bring a forward‑looking view on LGBTQ+ and feminist awareness days. You’ll develop a strong grasp of our tone of voice, design lightweight assets, track performance, nurture our community presence, and support one‑off campaigns and studio announcements.
- Employment type: Freelance, 8–12 hours per week. We’re open to working with other agencies.
- Location: Remote‑first, with occasional in‑person meetings in Edinburgh.
- Rate: Open to packages and quotes.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
What you’ll do
Plan and schedule content
- Own a lightweight monthly calendar for Instagram, LinkedIn, and our blog. Keep a 2–4 week pipeline of ready content.
- Propose and schedule posts around LGBTQ+ and feminist Awareness Days. Post at least one Instagram Story on weekdays.
- Design simple, on‑brand assets in Figma, Canva and/or Adobe. Manage out‑of‑hours scheduling where needed.
Collaborate and amplify
- Coordinate with our team to prepare and publish content about newly delivered projects.
- Share Studio updates, including awards, announcements, collaborations and events. Support focused campaigns and one‑off content as briefed.
- Prepare social assets for blog content, then publish and amplify across channels.
Measure, report, and hand over leads
- Track core platform metrics and SEO‑adjacent indicators. Produce concise monthly summaries with recommendations to refine content mix and cadence.
- Actively manage inboxes, comments, DMs and community interactions Monday–Friday. Identify potential leads from engagement.
- Capture key context and contact details, assess basic fit, and log leads in the agreed system. Notify the Business Development team promptly.
- Forward or assign relevant messages to the right team member and record outcomes.
Admin and editorial support
- Keep libraries, templates, link tracking and the asset bank tidy. Maintain a caption repository for reuse in Notion.
- Log activity and outcomes in Notion
What You'll Bring
- Clear, compelling, and friendly copy that adapts our tone of voice to each platform
- Confident, up‑to‑date knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn best practices
- Consistent weekday community management (keeping our accounts active)
- Basic analytics skills with the ability to turn numbers into next steps
- Practical design skills for lightweight social assets in Canva and/or Figma
- A proactive, thoughtful, creative approach to planning, collaboration, and ownership
