Day Stack

An accessibility-led identity built for calm, clarity, and neurodiverse users.

Day Stack is an app designed to simplify list-making for neurodiverse people, particularly those with ADHD and autism.

The creators came to us for branding that would do two jobs at once: feel welcoming and calm, and work well for real-world accessibility needs. We created an accessibility-led brand identity shaped by research, with design decisions that prioritise readability, contrast, and ease.

The Challenge

When your audience includes neurodiverse users, the “vibe” is not just aesthetic. It is part of usability.

Day Stack needed branding that feels supportive, not overstimulating. It also needed to be genuinely readable and clear, including for people who process language and visual information differently.

This is where accessibility research mattered. The project required more than compliance. It needed a design system where every detail, from font choice to icon clarity, supports a calmer, more intuitive experience.

What We Did

We designed a brand identity rooted in calm and natural harmony, aligning with Day Stack’s mission of slow, consistent self-growth. The logo is a minimalist semi-abstract line drawing of a plant, chosen as a symbol of patience and self-care.

We built a gentle, welcoming palette across blues, greens, yellows, purples, pinks, and violets, aiming for a soothing atmosphere.

Typography was a core accessibility decision. We used Atkinson Hyperlegible Regular and Lexie Readable Bold to support clarity and readability.

Our process was deeply informed by accessibility research and neurodiverse needs. We paid close attention to practical details like colour contrast and iconography, making sure each element supports readability, orientation, and ease.

Impact

Day Stack now has a brand identity that feels calm, friendly, and genuinely usable. The system helps the app show up as what it is: supportive infrastructure for people who want to get things done without fighting their brain to do it.

By grounding branding decisions in research, Day Stack’s identity is not just “nice”. It is functional, accessible, and built to support trust.
