We’re Hiring a Project Manager
Are you passionate about organisation and have a knack for guiding projects to successful completion? Studio Lutalica is seeking a full time (32 hours / week – yes you read that right, we run a 4-day work week!) Project Manager to join our dedicated team of creatives committed to empowering women, LGBTQ+ people, and other under-represented groups through innovative and creative solutions.
Location: Remote (UK timezone)
Employment Type: Full-time (32h/week)
Salary Range: £29,000-32,000 (depending on experience)

What You'll Do
This role is all about managing multiple client projects at various stages, while simultaneously making our internal processes better. As our Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Project + Process Management
- 🛠 Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and manage project timelines.
- 🔍 Allocate resources efficiently, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maximise project profitability.
- 🔄 Ensure project deliverables meet quality and delivery standards and implement feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management
- 🤝 Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the Studio’s relationship with active clients by providing regular updates, addressing concerns promptly and professionally, and building trust and enthusiasm during the project experience.
- 🧑🏫 Help train clients on their new design or development assets and manage client off-boarding once projects are complete.
- 📝 Oversee project contractor agreements, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with studio standards.
Financial Management, Risk Assessment + Mitigation
- 💡 Monitor project budgets and financials, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects remain financially viable.
- 📊 Manage client invoicing and keep up-to-date records of incoming and outgoing costs to maintain financial transparency and accuracy.
- 📈 Report project and client metrics to senior leadership, owning the ideation, maintenance, and delivery of reporting based on business needs.
Team Experience
- 👥 Lead and motivate project teams, supporting the hiring, training, and development of team members (primarily freelance designers and developers) while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- 🖍️ Iterating on existing internal processes and creating new systems that improve team efficiency and morale, while also meeting new and future business needs.

As a Project Manager at Studio Lutalica, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing our team productivity and cohesion. You’ll be the primary person our clients engage with during their project experience, which means you have tremendous power in building on Studio Lutalica’s reputation and excellent client experience. By providing clear direction and support, you’ll enable design and development team members to deliver work effectively and efficiently across multiple client projects. Your expertise in resource allocation, timeline management, and process improvement will make project delivery feel seamless for all involved, and will help Studio Lutalica support a broader range of clients over time. As a problem-solver by nature, you’ll identify improvement opportunities across our business, helping us to grow as a team and a business.
Tools You’ll Use
- Slack for daily communication
- Google Workspace for emails, calendar, calls, storage, etc
- Productive for project management
- Xero for invoicing
- Notion for internal and client facing documentation
- Figma for design collaboration
- Bugherd for tracking web development bugs
Knowledge of these tools is desirable but not required. We are always open to suggestions on how to improve our processes, including what software we use and how we use them. Your insights and ideas are valued and can help shape our workflow for the better.

- Demonstrated ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, manage expectations, and effectively handle delivery disruptions.
- A dedication to social change and creating impact for underrepresented communities.
- Fluent in English.
- Right to work in the UK (we are open to this role being a full-time freelance agreement open internationally; however, it would not benefit from holiday, sick days, private insurance, etc).
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a design/development agency in a project management or similar role.
