Emmanuelle Waeckerlé
In her own words, Emmanuelle Waeckerlé is a London based academic, artist, composer and improviser, interested in the materiality and musicality of language. She has run workshops at renowned galleries such as Tate Modern and Beaux Arts, and is a Reader in Fine Art & Relational Practices at UCA Farnham.

Visual Identity
It was important that the website aligned with Emmanuelle Waeckerlé’s artistic work. Echoing Waeckerlé’s clean but organic aesthetic, hand-drawn lines and scribbles accent the website: the cursor is a hand-drawn arrow that turns to scribble when visitors hover over links, and other accents are lined as if in pencil. Keen to find a characterful sans serif-font character, we landed on Ygro Sans. We liked the simplicity of the base script combined with the playful cutaway elements on particular letters.
