ILGA World, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association, is a worldwide federation of more than 1,900 organisations campaigning for LGBTQI+ rights across the globe. We were incredibly proud to support ILGA world with improving UX/UI, accessibility and overall cohesiveness on their website.

Our primary focus was improving UX/UI and making ILGA World’s website more accessible to its diverse audience. Key to this was streamlining the site navigation, starting with a mega menu that makes finding information fast and simple. It’s designed to help users quickly find what they need, supporting IGLA’s strategic goals and the needs of their audience.

Responsive Design

Screenshot of a website displaying three news articles in the Latest News section. Topics covered: digital divide for LGBTI community, business act implications for LGBTI individuals, and UN special procedures. Each article includes an image and a short summary. A navigation bar is present at the top.
Two mobile screens displaying a webpage section titled Latest News. The left screen features a headline on closing the digital divide for LGBTI communities. The right screen shows additional headlines and a footer mentioning ILGA World.

Our redesign ensures ILGA World’s website looks great and works smoothly across all devices. We corrected sizing issues in various blocks to improve content flow on mobile devices, making information comprehension seamless. As is standard practice at Studio Lutalica, we ensured the website met usability and accessibility needs, whether visitors were coming from phone, tablet, or desktop.

Resources

Web page showcasing an article on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia held on 17th May. Features navigation links, publication details, social media share icons, plus buttons for resources and event registration.

We created a new structure for the Resources Page to draw visitors in and avoid overwhelming them. As on other pages, we standardised typography to establish a consistent visual hierarchy with all text sizes set above 16pt for accessibility.
